Saturday
Morning Stories |
Up and moving early to get to Englewood for Holden’s last lacrosse game. It was a great game. They ended in a tie. The kids all worked their butts off. It was fun to watch. We love that Holden and Joe are on the same lacrosse and baseball teams. It’s been fun to catch up with the Callico fam during games.
After the game, we headed straight to a birthday party at Urban Air Adventures for Holden’s friend. When we got there, Holden’s friends mom asked if Ollie wanted to stay. This place looked pretty awesome.
Zach dropped me at home and I took a nap. He went to go mountain bike riding with his brother. Coda watched shows or played Xbox downstairs (where he’s been all morning – TOO MUCH SCREEN TIME!).
Afternoon Stories |
Zach picked Holden and Oliver up after his bike ride. They, of course, had fun. Holden got home and went straight to Kota’s house. He’s been hanging out with him a lot. They play nerf guns or jump on the trampoline. I love how social that kid is and that he’s just willing to get out and make friends. Kota and his family are here from Japan for two years so they don’t speak great English. Holden said they use Google Translate in class to talk to Kota. Maybe Holden will pick up some Japanese hanging out with Kota.
Not too long after the birthday party, it was time to head to Ollie’s first soccer game. Another great game to watch. They lost, but man, it was a good game. After the game, we ran home to eat dinner before game 2. Brisket, YUM!
Evening Stories |
Quick dinner and a little rest for me. Layered up, it was getting chilly from the wind towards the end of the last game. And, it just kept getting colder. Brrr. Another great game, Ollie scored two goals! And they won. So we had a tie, a loss, and a win today. Not bad.
When we got home, Holden saw Kota jumping on his trampoline so he went over there for a half hour to play. Coda, Oliver and I watched another episode of Duff Takes the Cake. Zach built some shelves to put in his gym/garage.
When Holden got home, the boys got ready for bed and I went to bed too. I was exhausted. I still can barely keep my eyes open past 9.
Zach cut up the rest of the brisket and got lost in the inter webs before coming to bed at 11.
Will update again soon.
Love & Light.
