Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:15
God, please help me to worship You by doing all my work with excellence. Allow me to do everything in a way that You would approve of. Amen.
Have you downloaded the Bible app? I love the daily stories they started doing. They take you through a verse, prayer, and devotional. Today, my daily Bible study was on 2 Timothy 2:15. What really stuck out for me was an excerpt from the book Every Good Endeavor: Connecting Your Work to God’s Work that talked about how can you change your industry/work place/business? This really spoke to me!
One thing I know, Network Marketing has a bad rap. It drives me insane. I seriously can not stand it when someone decides to pipe up and bash MLM’s because they do not understand. There is absolutely no reason that if you have the desire to build a business, want that financial and time freedom, but maybe stayed at home with the kids for too long and you just feel like you can not go out and get a job anywhere but some minimum wage job. Agh. It just makes me so mad! You are worth so much more! There is absolutely nothing wrong with minimum wage jobs, we need those in the world. But those are for my 15 year old son. Not you, a smart, talented, gifted woman who was meant for more.
Wow, so I have gotten way off topic, well not way. But, let’s reel it in. Back to the bible study. How am I changing the industry? I joined Network Marketing in May. Why? I couldn’t work outside of my house because of the medical stuff and I loved the products. Why not get a discount, right? Well, something changed. In July I found a new company and was able to build a team in just a few weeks. But why? There is a reason for this! I know God dropped this company in my lap and helped build my team because the view on the industry needs to be changed. My girls will be successful, they will retire their husbands, they will hire that private chef, they will spend more times with their kids and give them all the things (ok, not all the things, because we don’t want a bunch of spoiled kids, but you get the point), they will pay off debts, travel more, and just have more confidence to take those God given strengths and use them to serve more and more.
